Cave Creek Golf

Just like other high sonoran desert golf courses, Cave Creek also has some spectacular views and luxury amenities. There are two semi private golf courses in the Cave Creek area and they are Rancho Manana and Tatum Ranch.

Rancho Manana has Many holes that feature panoramic views of both the Black and Superstition Mountains . A difficult tee shot is needed on hole #9, a 192-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over a desert area and a water hazard. The 5,407-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 70.0 and a slope of 131.

Tatum Ranch is challenging, but fair. It is the only public course that offers the true desert terrain. There is a pond that comes into play on hole #7, a 348-yard, par 4. Holes #2 and #5 play to a double green. Super Saver Discounts are available. The 5,760-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 72.9 and slope of 126.

Cave Creek Unified School District

Located in northern Maricopa County , the District includes the town of Carefree , most of the town of Cave Creek, portions of the cities of Scottsdale and Phoenix , and areas under county jurisdiction. It is bounded by the Tonto National Forest on the north, 136th street (Gilbert Road) on the east, Jomax Road to the south, and 40th street to the west.

In the Cave Creek Unified School District , educational success for students is based on what is expected to have been accomplished by the time a student graduates 12th grade. An added benefit at all schools is that every teacher has an individual homework hotline where parents and students can check for current homework assignments.

As of August 11, 2005, our schools had 1,584 students in grades 9-12; 1,358 in grades 6-8; and 2,712 students in grades pre-kindergarten through 5, for a total student enrollment of 5,654.
